Guys,
If one IV member moves from State A to B, what would be the process of transferring membership to state chapter?
Will it merely be a deleting datbase record from one state and adding it to another state? Or would it be again filling up survey to new state chapter..?

Is there any basis needed for approving AP? Is it EAD ? If so my application is in deeps***. onceagain, is there anybody here with this kind of experience. Also since I already took infopass once, is there any use taking it again for my ead ?

on that note, do you know if there there are any more visa issuance fee Demand Drafts etc we need to have, or just the HDFC receipt is enough?

I had submitted I-131 document along with I-485 & 765 on 8/1 and received the receipt notices already from TSC.
I had received my EAD card on 10/10 and Biometrics is scheduled on 11/13.
I have booked my travel tickets for treveling to India on 01/04/2008.
What should I do now, to get AP (I-131) approved?

I don't want you to freak out because my case is probably a very small fraction of the visa applications BUT since this thread is specifically related to PIMS, I thought I'd give you my example. Good news for you is, you are going to India. I was stuck in Canada not knowing long it might take for the PIMS to get updated. I ended up touring North Canada but I wish I could've traveled with a peace of mind.

I just got my wife's h4 approval letter today but the I-94 does not have any validity period on it, its blank?? Moreover, We received two more i539 approval notices sames as my wifes without any validity period under my wife's name (Applicant)... beneficiary were for two kids age 9,11 totally different last names/Nationality :confused: Are the CSC processing people smoking something:eek:

For I-485 Applicant, it is not of much significance.
At POE, AP is stamped for one year (with I-94), but when it expires, it does not matter. One can continue working on H1 or EAD. And if someone is in USA on H4 (and not working on EAD) also remains in vaild status.
So there should not be any reason to worry, however, as suggested by "kshitijnt" better to get in touch with USCIS and let them do corrective action as required.

I had to renew my H1 visa, so was wondering what would happen if my GC was to get approved and my dependents remain pending, before the h1 is applied. My GC is still pending, hope to see some Green soon....maybe this year. All the best for all of you.

My lawyer received my H1B approval in the mail yesterday. Online status said approved on 15th. But lawyer said that I will have to pick it up from India. Otherwise I'll have to file an amendment. I am guessing it is form I-797B (no I-94)
Anyone else in similar situation with any information?

* Approved: April 15th (checked online status)

I still don't have my GC(based on an Engineering position) but took up a managerial position within the same organization.. IMO, its a risk worth taking.. If I were you, I would take the new position, switch over to EAD and not apply for the H1B extension..

Already did that in previous reply, the new letter says the evaluation is done basing on the syllabus but Mr vallabhu did not actually take math course as per the syllabus.
I have my certificate from 1992 which also mentioned Math as one of the subjects I don't how he can miss that.

When you say I can retain the priority date, how does that work? Do I have to file the PERM again? Isn't the PERM what gives us the priority date? And then will I have to file the I-140 or is it that I need to file the I-140 only?

zeast of letter.. Sen. is working hard to resolve the complex issue and requested me to keep patience.
:) That i am doing anyway from last 7+ year..:D
Yes it is positive --At-least senators are sticking to their timetable of CIR by March and April.
I guess that is the reason IV is asking for stories by Wednesday noon, This hearing is also on the same day.

Yes, I know a couple of people who got GC and but their spouses are still waiting after more than a year. It could be due to lack of information they check from various agencies, such as home address (particulary if spouse is not working)

In Dubai when you come back you have to show your AP and supporting docs if they ask you to. I came back this July 18th.
I had absolutely no problems, it's all smooth as long as you carry all the supporting docs. I did have a shitty experience at JFK -- there are few morons at the POE you can't do much about.
What are the supporting docs along with AP? I will be travelling by Emirates via Dubai in Novemeber.
